Abstract:
The "Aesthetic Education Infusion Initiative" is a reform measure implemented by China's Ministry of Education to promote school-based aesthetic education, aiming to integrate aesthetic education into all aspects of teaching and learning activities. Wushu education in regular higher education institutions contains rich aesthetic education resources and serves as an important way to implement this initiative. Based on the theories of modern aesthetic education, key competencies, and college students' psychological development, this study conducted scholarly exploration into the practice of aesthetic education infusion through Wushu in regular higher education institutions. The research suggests that its goals include developing aesthetic ability through Wushu training, cultivating aesthetic consciousness through Wushu cultivation, and shaping aesthetic character through Wushu ethos. And its content include form-based beauties demonstrated in Wushu such as physical appearance, combat image, and technical craftsmanship; its connotative beauties in Wushu such as rhythmic breath, imagery-intention harmony, and philosophical-artistic conception; and the spiritual beauties in Wushu such as martial ethos, moral integrity, and chivalrous virtue. And, its implementation strategies involve strengthening aesthetic infusion among teachers, in teaching content, throughout the teaching process, and within the school environment, so as to address the practical dilemmas of cognitive constraints, insufficient substantive content, weak emotional cultivation, and inadequate support, thereby facilitating the practical implementation of Wushu aesthetic education infusion in regular higher education institutions.
