Dual Dilemma of Knowledge Production in Sports Sociology and Transcendence of the Associated Perspective

In order to solve the binary dilemma of "macro structure and micro body" in the knowledge production of sociology of sport, Latour's actor network methodology may provide a new approach. Based on the associated perspective of Latour's "sociology of artifacts" and the explanation of the two key concepts of "network" and "artifact", this study tries to undo the normative assumption of "social explanation of individual" or "individual explanation of society" in sociology of sport, and focuses on describing the social movement process of "why artifacts are artifacts". The specific research methods for sociology of sport are: "following" the human and non-human actors in the process of sports, making things talk and taking notes anytime and anywhere. In addition, the text writing in the network of sports sociological actors also needs to avoid presetting the framework or theory in advance, and instead give a deep description on the basis of formation stories.
