A Study on the Civilization Evolution of Chinese Wushu

  • The question of in what ways to evolve for Chinese Wushu with its deep heritage, is crucial for its survival and development. Studies show that Wushu artists, evolving from adversaries to allies through their interactions, are driven by a sense of benevolence, which fosters a creative thinking and wisdom. They use the elements in Wushu techniques to transcend traditional boundaries, gradually forming a symbolic identity centered around Wushu routines. This symbolic form then influences the reordering of Chinese Wushu. Wushu routines, as a reconstructed form that focuses on and shapes life, endow Chinese Wushu with the attributes of order, benefit, maturity, and universality. This transformation turns Chinese Wushu into a civilization achievement that guides human culture with a non-confrontational technical order, indicating the overall formation and enduring development of Chinese Wushu. Chinese Wushu can not go with the flow. It should follow its own evolution laws, adhere to the national cultural battlefield, inherit and continue the new form of Chinese modern civilization with Wushu routines as the mainstay.
