Governance Dilemma and Resolultion Path of China's Youth Football Tournaments from the Perspective of Multiple Institutional Logic Theory

  • This study, with the field work of data collection, fouces on the interest game and institution conflicts between miltiple bodies on the basis of theme categorization. At the same time, it utilizes the multiple institutional logic theory to construct an analytical framework of "institutional logic identification–logic conflict analysis–conflict solution path", exploring the governance dilemmas in youth foortball tournaments in China. Five institutional logics in tournament governance were identified: national logic, section logic, education logic, compeition logic and market logic; and such dimensions as behavor body, institution feature, operation machensim and system performance were introduced into the analysis, where competition and conflict among them led to a shift from ideal design to value differentiation and institutional alienation, resulting in the issues like alienated participation, the Matthew effect, unequal resource supply, and poor system connection. To address these dilemmas, a coordinated normalized mechanism that accommodates multiple logics should be established, promoting the transition from "institutional conflict" to "institutional collaboration" through the measures such as deepening sports-education integration, correcting hierarchical biases, optimizing resource allocation and fostering joint efforts, thus to provide an institutional support for the high-quality development of youth football in China.
