Cultivation Model of Chinese Youth Football: Evolution Process, Reality Consideration and Reform Direction

  • The cultivation model for Chinese youth football is a key element to promote the high-quality development of football and help build a powerful nation of sports. Utilizing research methods such as literature review and case analysis, this study systematically traces the evolution process of cultivation model for Chinese youth football since the founding of the People's Republic of China, categorizing it into four stages: the period of planning command model, the period of transforming and upgrading model, the period of dual-track parallel model, and the period of integration of sports and education model. It identifies issues such as difficulties in coordinating the interests of government departments, sharing educational and training resources, integrating competition systems, and facilitating the flow of young talents. The study argues that the cultivation model for Chinese youth football requires profound reform, needs to break down the barriers in the integration of management systems and strengthen the shared goals for continuous cultivating; enhance the element circulation of training mechanism and innovate the flow of professional teaching staff; improve the design and quality of integrated competition systems and sports event construction; and address the bottlenecks in the flow of talents through the establishment of a multi-track parallel talent flow mechanism.
