Meteorological Analysis on Winter Olympic Games "Window Period" in the 2016-2017 Snow Season

  • Meteorological factors will have a significant impact on the Winter Olympics preparations and competitions.By means of field investigation, data analysis and system analysis, the study analyzes the meteorological data in division and in related Olympic sites of the "Window Period" during the 2016-2017 snow season.The research shows that the meteorological data such as temperature, humidity, wind direction and speed in different competition areas will have some influences on the related competitions.It is necessary to build snow protection measures against extreme weather conditions during the "Window Period", respectively for snow production, snow protection and competition, in order to effectively cope with the meteorological risks of Beijing Winter Olympic Games and Winter Paralympic Games.
