Exchange Strategy of Sports Events in "the Belt and Road" Countries Based on the Commonwealth Games

Sport is an important support for people-to-people exchanges under "the Belt and Road" initiative and sports events play a positive role in bringing people together. The Commonwealth Games has long promoted the overall development of the related countries, which has become a typical good example of sports exchanges. Some references are found and strategies are come up with through the comparison between the sports events in "the Belt and Road" countries and the Commonwealth countries. It holds that for the purpose of sports exchange in these countries:sports organizations which include corresponding departments should be established; national games be held; the strategy of "multilateral sportscooperation mechanism" be adopted; more sports events expanded, risk and negative impact be avoided, and hosting sport events should be encouraged in "the Belt and Road" countries.
