Application of Advanced Detection Technology of Life Science in Sports Science: Effect of HIIT in Fat Reduction Using UPLC-QTOF

  •   Objective  Using UPLC-QTOF technology to explore the mechanism of reducing fat in HⅡT in overweight or obese female college students.
Methods  Sixteen overweight or obese female college students were given HⅡT intervention for 8 weeks, 4~5 times a week, 10~15 bouts of interval training each time. The interval intensity was 75%~80% HRR for 1 minute, and the rest was 35%~40% HRR for 1 minute. Morning urine was collected before and after 24 hours HⅡT for 8 weeks. Body composition and function were tested.
Results  Among the 14 participants who finished the intervention, the HⅡT could significantly improve cardiopulmonary function, muscle percentage, and reduce fat percentage, compared with the data before the intervention. Analysis shows the differential metabolites mainly involve fatty acid biosynthesis, linoleic acid metabolism, sphingolipid metabolism, fatty acid elongation in mitochondria, glycerophospholipid metabolism, lysine degradation, fatty acid metabolism, arginine and proline metabolism, etc.
Conclusions  HⅡT for 8 weeks can reduce fatty acid synthesis, increase fatty acid decomposition and promote body fat decline. Some metabolites of lysine, glucine, arginine, sphingosine and glucuronidation may be involved in the process of weight loss in HⅡT.
