Evolution and Prospect of Chinese Sports Training Theory

By the methods of literature review, the Chinese sports training theory was discussed in terms of its scope and category, evolution logic, development status, theoretical relevance and future trend.It is believed that Chinese sports training theory mainly includes two aspects: its basic theory and advanced theory. The basic theory highlights the construction system of teaching materials in sports training, whilst the frontier theory takes the research and training achievements from the key Olympic programs as the main content. After 40 years of major revision, China's sports training textbook has formed a basic theoretical system with Chinese characteristics while a preliminary cutting-edge theoretical system with Chinese characteristics has also been established based on years of accumulative achievements from key research and pragmatic programs for Olympic Games.It is held that an objective understanding for the scope and sequence of basic theory as well as the frontier theory in Chinese sports training should be needed with self-confidence in Chinese sports training theory and academia; the future development trend of China's sports training theory will continue to develop in depth along the existing paradigm of the discipline; and the frontier theory will follow the ways of multidisciplinary integration and interdisciplinary cooperation.
