Digital economy can break through the information barrier of industrial supply and demand through emerging technologies, adjust the two sides to form a higher level of dynamic balance, and solve the mismatch between the two. It is believed that the internal mechanism of the digital economy driving the supply and demand adaptation of the sports industry is reflected in improving its supply efficiency, promoting the expansion and quality of sports consumption, and realizing the precise connection between supply and demand. Taken the five business forms of sports fitness and leisure industry, sports competition and performance industry, sports venue service industry, sports goods manufacturing industry and sports training service industry as dimensions, the practical reality of digital economy driving the supply and demand adaptation of sports industry is focused on. The proposals for the optimization path are suggested as follows: to strengthen the construction of digital infrastructure, promote the digital transformation, and enhance the data-driven supply and demand adaptation ability as well as the governance ability.
