Lifelike Ethical Essence of Physical Education as an Intellectual and Moral Cultivation Through Physical Activity

  • Physical education originates from physical activities, stimulating physical activities to reshape the bodily world through natural cultivation methods, endowing the body, which originally belonged to physical and biological substance, with humanistic nourishment, realizing the coexistence of the body's natural and humanistic aspects. As a result, physical education becomes a comprehensive way to cultivate the body, intellect, and spirit, following the ethical principles of mutual growth and coexistence of body and mind to guide physical activities. It can not only alleviate inner troubles and blindness but also broaden horizons, activate the mind, purify emotions, invigorate thinking, and stimulate cognition. School physical education focuses on intellectual and moral cultivation through physical activities, guiding students to coordinate their body and mind, cultivate their spirit and emotions, and enhance their intelligence. Its fundamental effort is to foster students' physical capabilities, promote the expansion of their perception, broaden their cognitive horizons, and achieve overall improvement in physical action, activity level, and health.
