Theoretical Exploration and Practical Approach to the Construction of National Sport Tourism Demonstration Base

Using the research methods of field investigation, interview, case analysis and LDA model, the theoretical issues of the time background, connotation characteristics and form types of the construction of national sport tourism demonstration bases are systematically explored. Based on the field investigation of 61 national sport tourism demonstration bases in the first and second batch of China, it is found that the national sport tourism demonstration bases are faced with such realistic challenges as the coexistence of unbalanced spatial distribution and insufficient forms, the weak-targeted policy system and enforcement of grass-roots government, ambiguous sports business forms and prominently homogeneous sports events, and the lack of sports talents' professionalism and fine operation and management, etc. Suggestions are put forward as follows: strengthening the strategic planning of sports tourism to optimize the spatial layout and resource allocation; enhancing the effectiveness of targeted policies to promote the implementation of grass-roots with multiple measures; strengthening the integration and innovation of new sports business forms to create a differentiated tourism product system; and cultivating professional sport tourism talents to construct the practical path of fine operation and management mode.
