30 Years of the Implementation of China's Social Sports Instructor System: History, Significance and Improvement

As a sports system established early after the reform and opening up, China's social sports instructor system has been implemented for 30 years. With the development of socioeconomic and sports undertakings, this system, by means of constantly adjusting and optimizing itself over the past 30 years, has not only played an important role in the modernization of Chinese sports and the development of fitness for all, but also provided a basic support and normative guarantee. The system history is divided into three phases in order to summarize its implementation, each described with its development pattern. Meanwhile, the multi-faceted driving forces and significance of the system are explored from multiple perspectives. Moreover, strategies for the improvement of the system are proposed based on the existing problems, which involves the governance upgrading, the supporting measures for the implementation of the Sports Law, and the solutions to the difficulties.
