Abstract: By the methods of literature review and interview, the research was held to analyze the administration, training and competition system, financial support and talents training institution of Japanese campus football. It reveals that there are six aspects that contribute to the success of Japanese campus football:the compliance with the overall development goal of Japanese football; the great role of the football association to enhance the ability of campus football; the adequate staff and scientific instruction of the coaches; the rich tournament arrangements to boost the technical and tactical levels of juvenile football; the financial support from government, society and family to guarantee the fund supply; and the multi-guarantee institution to ensure talents cultivation. Campus football in China has a lot to learn from the experience of the Japanese counterpart.
