Abstract: With the diffusion effect theory of leading industries in industrial economics, the research, based on the analysis of present development and characteristics of sport industry of developed countries, discussed three diffusion effects of the global sport industry development on surrounding industries, including the backward effect, the side effect and the forward effect, so as to explore the key role the high-speed development of sport industry plays in national economy.
