Abstract: This study conducted the analysis of the periodicals of Central Guoshu Institute and their social functions.It holds that Central Guoshu Institute plays a very important role in the wushu consciousness transformation, wushu inheritance and dissemination, the theoretical research and education as well as the ideological inheritance.The established 3 periodicals, that is, Proceedings of Central Guoshu Institute; The Central Guoshu Periodical on Every Ten Days; and the Guoshu Weekly, contributed a lot to the development of modern wushu.It strongly promoted the trend of wushu-loving thought and removed obstacles for wushu's going to the road of competition.And, it also contributed a lot in the integration, succession and spread of wushu techniques, pushing the wushu practitioners toward the understanding of wushu from the perspectives of humanities and social sciences.
