Abstract: The study, taking the seven sport colleges and universities which have set up undergraduate program of performing arts (wushu) as the objects, analyzes the present situation of program setting, program objectives and curriculum designs, probing the key elements such as profession, ability, courses and major positioning according to the requirements of the market and society.It holds that the professional orientation in performance (wushu) program should be "wushu-oriented acting, directing by producing"; the ability orientation should be "playing wushu and performing, producing and directing"; the curriculum orientation should be "acting-playing focused, directing supplemented" and the discipline orientation should be "art serving as the basis while wushu as the practice".
