Abstract:
The rapid development of e-sports and related industries, which have different characteristics from traditional sports/competitive events, urges the government bodies to reconfirm the market orientation and appropriate policy.The nationwide system, mainly operated by a four-level structure in the manner of host and participation, runs efficiently in competitive areas, but not for professional sports and even hardly applicable to e-sports.Therefore, government bodies should transfer the management system of e-sports into regulation and service.With the principles of tolerance and prudence, regulation should be conducted by introducing and monitoring the practice of legal standards, rules and limitations while optimizing the approval procedures, regulatory measures and operation controls.Integrated with regulation, service should be offered in innovative forms and actively designed for a full range of areas such as IT, rule-making and IPR.
