A Systematic Review on 24-hour Movement of Infants Aged 0-5 Years

Abstract: The researches on 24-hour movement of infants aged 0-5 years were systematically reviewed.Research characteristics, research method and research results were summarized.Systematic search was conducted with four English database including Web of Science Core Collection、PubMed、Embase、MEDLINE and four Chinese database such as CNKI, Wanfang Database, VIP Database, and CBM till May 1, 2020. Data on basic characteristics of these studies were extracted.Inductive approach was used to analyze all the research results from these included studies. The final 12 studies were included in this systematic review. The result showed that 61.95%、26.59%、82.61% of infants met physical activity, screen time, and sleep guidelines, respectively.Overall, 3.44%、29.53%、58.25%、9% of infants met none, 1, 2, and all 3 of the 24-hour healthy movement guidelines. Some factors such as family economic status, screen time, and ethnicity influence the meeting of 24-hour movement guideline. However, too limited studies focus on these factors and the results can not be confirmed. No significant relationship between meeting of 24-hour movement guideline and gender or age was found. Moreover, results all showed that meeting 24-hour movement guideline is associated with increased bone density, cognitive development, and improvement of emotional problems.
