Abstract:
Since the "Outline of the National Fitness Program" was promulgated, the sports infrastructure has developed rapidly, related laws and policies have been continuously improved, and the mass sports fitness activities participation have gradually increased in our country. According to the data of the Chinese General Social Survey in 2003 and 2015, the logistic regression was used to analyze the change of mass sports participation in China. The results show that the proportion of mass sports participation increases significantly with an obvious influence of gender, marriage, household registration, geography, education and social class, as well as a clearly differentiated sports participation groups. Besides, there exists a weakened gender and social class differentiation for sports participation, but a strengthened household registration and regional differentiation for sports participation, and the same as in marriage and education differentiation. Considering these problems, sports infrastructure should be increased, differentiated measures be taken based on the characteristics of sports participation groups, and regional or national traditional sports activities be held to create a sports culture atmosphere to further expand mass sports participation.
