Abstract:
The vigorous development of China's sports industry in recent years has laid a solid foundation for the study of sports economics, also its high-quality development has asked for a higher requirement for the disciplinary development of sports economics. The different characteristics of the three stages of the sports economics development are summarized. Further, the interdisciplinary relationship of sports economics is analyzed through the interaction between sports and economics. It is held that, based on the strong historical status of economics, plus the widely accepted theories and rich research methods, economics lies in the leading position at this stage; however, the attributes of sports products, market symbiosis and competition, non "rational" consumption behaviors, excessive human capital accumulation as well as the effects on public finance, make sports economics increasingly prominent. Therefore, although sports economics in China is still difficult to become an independent discipline at present stage, and has not yet formed a "school" in the strict sense, its own development and the interactive evolution with practical problems make it constantly innovate its research paradigms, methods, content and fields, which is conducive to eventually building a set of independent knowledge system of sports economics with Chinese characteristics.
