Abstract:
The literature review and expert interviews are used to interpret the body narration and the value of the times from Bruce Lee's martial arts films. The research holds that the core connotation in his martial philosophy (that is, Budo philosophy) is to follow the nature and no interference, to balance the dynamic and static, and finally achieve the selfless state. Bruce Lee's films use the body as narrative language and medium to achieve his body narration and cultural construction of "artistic body", "martial body" and "philosophical body", from the three levels of "acting with the body", "practicing with the body" and "achieving with the body". Bruce Lee's martial arts philosophy, as well as his open and inclusive spiritual realm, is of great time value to the construction of Chinese martial arts discourse system and the awakening of the self-conscious confidence of traditional culture. A good interpretation of the cultural connotation of Bruce Lee phenomenon can provide theoretical reference for well telling "Chinese story", transmitting "Chinese voice" and highlighting "Chinese strength".
