Abstract:
In the context of the modernization of Chinese education, Marxist philosophy and relevant educational theories are utilized to analyze the intrinsic, indirect, and external driving forces behind the reform of Wushu education. It elucidates the core concept of "people-oriented" in Wushu education reform, emphasizing that the reform should focus on enhancing the quality of life, the level of spiritual civilization, and the comprehensive development of individuals. With the reflections on the practical experiences of Wushu education reform, the key issues such as "technique and philosophy", "virtue and skill", "combat and practice", "routines and combat", "routines and single moves" and "methods and applications" are cxamined. It hence proposes the development direction for Wushu education reform in the new era. At the macro level, Wushu education should comprehensively align with the modernization of Chinese education in terms of educational goals, content, methods, techniques, and evaluation. At the meso level, efforts should be made to build a Wushu education and teaching community through the collaboration of the Wushu curriculum community, teaching community, and teacher community. At the micro level, the reform should advance precision teaching in Wushu education across different levels, including compulsory education, continuing education, and higher education.
