Abstract: The new quality productive forces in the sports industry is a key driving force for achieving the strategic goal of building a strong sports nation. Based on the theory of Marxist political economy, this paper analyzes the connotation, generation mechanism, and driving role of new quality productive forces in the field of sports industry, and proposes corresponding cultivation strategies. The research suggests that the new quality productive forces is an advanced one that achieves new value growth through new sports production processes and their innovative social integration. Its generation and development follow the transmission path of "technology-factor-industry" of the technological revolutionary breakthroughs, innovative allocation of production factors, and deep transformation and upgrading of the industry. This process will promote a huge transformation in the development concept, goals, subjects, modes, and system of the sports industry, driving the transition of the sports industry from extensive growth in the past to intensive development, from scale expansion to the emphasis on quality and efficiency, from the dependence on government support to enterprise leadership, from the resource dependence to innovation factor coordination, and from traditional industrial system to modern system. To this end, measures, such as integrating the concept of green development, unleashing the potential of data elements, strengthening sports technology innovation, increasing talent cultivation, and building a modern industrial system, are proposed to provide ideas and methods for cultivating new quality productive forces in the field of sports industry.
