Abstract: Using the methods of literature review and historical analysis, the study summarizes and illustrates the stage-style sport cultural ecology in China based on its concept and connotation. The findings show that the ancient Chinese sport culture remains stable in the nourishment of traditional culture, and keeps balanced inarelatively stable social environment, presenting to be natural on the whole. The pre-modern sport culture in China, however, presents to be imbalanced during the confrontation between China and the West, as well as the great social change. Besides, it starts the new change in the confrontation of the reality. Finally, the modern times witness the sport culture in China facing the challenge from the "westernization"， and on the verge ofathorough imbalance.
