Abstract:
Objective To study the effects of the antioxidant capacity on SD rats' insulin resistance by intermittent hypoxic exposure combined with aerobic exercise.
Methods The healthy rats with normal fodder were selected to be normal oxygen control group (NNC).The rats with insulin resistance were divided into normal oxygen control group (NC), hypoxic control group (HC), normal oxygen exercise group (NE) and hypoxic exercise group (HE).The prevention of oxygen concentration of intermittent hypoxia and treadmill exercises were conducted for 4 weeks.
Results ①Compared with the NC group, the serum's T-AOC, SOD and GSH-Px all increased and the serum's MDA in the other three groups all decreased (p<0.05); while the quadriceps' MDA in the 3 groups all decreased. The quadriceps' GSH-Px in the HC group increased; while the quadriceps' T-AOC and SOD in both the NE group and the HE group increased. ② Compared with the NNC group, the serum's SOD in the other three groups all increased while the serum's GSH-Px in both the NE group and the HE group increased. The quadriceps' MDA in the HC group decreased while the quadriceps' SOD in the NE group increased. The quadriceps' MDA in the HE group decreased while its GSH-Px decreased.
Conclusion The intervention of the intermittent hypoxia, exercise and intermittent hypoxia combining exercise can improve the IR rats' serum and quadriceps' antioxidant capacity; and the intermittent hypoxia combining exercise show the best effect.
