Abstract: Exploring the strategies of sport diplomacy with Chinese characteristics is an important part of constructing China to be a powerful country.The sport diplomacy in the new era possesses the dual attributes of both government diplomacy and public diplomacy, the dual attributes of which promotes the construction of China into a powerful country.This study conducted the analysis of the challenges China's sport diplomacy are faced with in the new era in the aspects of its subject, content and effect, etc., and puts forward its practice path for sport diplomacy's engagement in constructing China to be a powerful country.
