Abstract: The study tried to explore the aesthetic spirit of Chinese Martial Art (wushu) from the perspectives of philosophy, aesthetics and cultural science.It holds that the aesthetic spirits of wushu are shown in the following:its ideal was to present the care for people in the harmony between human and nature, its truth was to pursue perfect morals in the embedding of extreme perfection and beauty, its essence was to appreciate and exercise the beauty in the combination of form and spirit, its realm was to express the aesthetic image in the blending of feeling and setting happily, and its education was to reach the unity of aesthetics and civilization in the combination of knowledge, emotion, will and action.The conclusion points out that the aesthetic spirit is the backbone of wushu, which keeps its development till today and has always been the core value of wushu culture.
