Abstract: The essence of the construction of a sports event system is to explore a high-quality development path for sports events, the purpose of which is to better serve the global sports city construction of Shanghai.Considering the historical and realistic factors, as well as the environment change and the urban development of Shanghai in 2025, the construction strategy of Shanghai sports event system is proposed.It should follow the principles of "reasonable layout, intensive configuration, coordinated linkage with outstanding features".There are four major tasks and five important measures, namely, enriching the supply of sports events, optimizing the space of sports events, coordinating the time of sports events, and improving sports events organizational system.Five measures include sports event brand certification, sports event service system construction, sports event evaluation system construction, sports event innovation and development, and the sports event linkage with the Yangtze River Delta.
