Influence of Digital Economy on the High-quality Development of Sports IndustryVerification Based on Mediation Model and Threshold Model

  • Data of 2012–2021 from 19 provinces in China are selected to analyze the relationship between digital economy and high-quality development of China's sports industry by establishing the Mediation model and Threshold model. The empirical analysis shows that digital economy can promote the high-quality development of the sports industry based on the fixed effect model; while in the process of digital economy promoting its high-quality development, industrial structure as an intermediary variable and scientific and technological innovation as a moderating variable play the promoting roles accordingly. And, there is a significant first-order threshold effect of industrial structure and second-order threshold effect of scientific and technological innovation between digital economy and high-quality development of sports industry. It is proposed to improve the high-quality development of sports industry in three aspects, that is, to develop the digital economy level, optimize the industrial structure, and to improve the scientific and technological innovation level, thus to promote the construction of socialist modern sports power.
